My dad's birthday is coming up and he's never easy to shop for! For the last few weeks, I've been racking my brain trying to come up with an idea. Then, during our last phone conversation, he mentioned to me that he's been watching all of his favorite TV shows online lately. I realized that a notebook computer might just be the perfect birthday gift. My dad's PC is adequate, but it's getting pretty old. I definitely think he could use an upgrade. He uses his computer for almost everything: he listens to music, watches TV shows and movies, and keeps in touch with family members through personal networking sites. In fact, I think he uses his computer more than any other device in his household! And since he's retired, he's begun traveling a fair bit, both to see the country and to visit relatives. I figure if he had a notebook computer, he could travel with it. He could take a notebook computer anywhere he goes and still have access to all of his favorite things. Yes, I think a notebook computer might just be the ideal birthday gift.
