This morning I was up bright and early and decided to take my laptop computer outside and have breakfast at the picnic table. Even though our picnic table is at the back of our property, I knew the internet connection would work back there, because I’ve used the laptop computer at the picnic table countless times this summer. The sun was shining, so after I took the laptop computer outside and set everything up, I headed inside to brew a pot of coffee and also to get my breakfast cooking. It took a little while but right about the time breakfast was finished, I looked outside and saw that the sunny skies had been replaced with dark clouds. I was about to rethink sitting outside when it started pouring. I dropped my breakfast on the coffee table and ran outside to save my laptop computer. I grabbed it, closed it shut and ran inside just before the thunder and lightning started. I was worried it had gotten really wet, but once I got inside and checked it out, it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Thank goodness I walked outside when I did.
