My new apartment was much smaller, and I knew I wouldn't have a great deal of room for a home office. I didn't yet realize the many benefits of a laptop computer. You see, I've recently returned to school to finish my college degree, in addition to working my regular day job. When I agreed to take on a second job as well, I knew I'd need my home office more than ever so I could keep all of these different projects organized. With a laptop computer, I can now take my home office with me wherever I go. I can work on various projects, keep track of appointments, even surf the web thanks to the beauty of wireless internet service. My home office is now anyplace I happen to be: at work, at school, on the bus, even at a restaurant or coffee shop. I've actually increased my productivity because I have so many more options about when and where I can get my work done. And to think I once thought that a laptop computer was only saving me space!
