When I found out that my favorite coffee shop had free Wi-Fi access for their customers, it completely changed my work habits. I was so happy that I could take my laptop computer, my notes, pens and a pad and enjoy my favorite hot beverage while I worked happily along. Having this flexibility of working between my home office and my favorite coffee shop helped to spark my creaativity and broke the monotony of working solo on a daily basis. I saw there were a lot of other people there too who had their notebook computers, some meeting in groups and others who were also working solo.

If there were any files in particular that I may need for a writing or research project, I sync my notebook computer with my desktop computers before I leave my home office. Syncing also picks up my emails, attachments and photos that I have on my computer's hard drive. I've really gotten into the business habit of syncing my notebook computer with my desktop computers on a daily basis just so I am sure that I have all of the files I'll need.
